Mandy Hamu is a first generation settler from Morocco with mixed cultural heritage. A registered psychotherapist, she has spent over 15 years with community organizations supporting people living with the impact of trauma and violence. Mandy has worked with a broad range of individuals, youth, couples, families and groups navigating complex intersections of oppression and facing a wide variety of challenges. She is passionate about engaging youth, educating about healthy relationships, and being a part of meaningful social change. An intersectional feminist, Mandy uses anti-oppressive/anti-racist principles to frame her work in Violence Against Women, Clinical Counselling, Youth Mental Health, anti-poverty and decolonization.
